Spector Studios Pottery

Spector Studios' designs are grounded in decorative traditions such as Art Deco and Arts & Crafts period designs. A sense of geometry and symmetry is a common thread running through the work. Their original glaze palette combines muted tones with breaking matt surfaces that emphasize the reliefs that they adorn. They make each piece using a historical tile-making process adapted into a wonderfully broad reaching pottery-making technique that involves hand carving and embossing. The work is a celebration of daily life, combining interesting and thoughtful design work with affordable, practical and attractive functional forms.
