Ever since I was a young girl living in the Midwest, I dreamed about living and working on an island.  I had thought I would sell fudge in a shop on Mackinaw Island...or sell collected and polished stones off the North Irish Sea.  So, here I am on Ocracoke working in a lovely craft store surrounded by paintings and pottery and jewelry for a summer.  Some dreams are worth waiting for.
